Daily lenses
Daily lenses, also called disposable lenses, offer you the flexibility you need in your everyday life. With these contact lenses you can decide anew every day whether it should be a day with or without this particularly hygienic companion. With daily disposable lenses, you opt for easy handling and fresh contact lenses. & nbsp;
You do not need any care products for daily lenses, as they & nbsp; Use a fresh, sterile packed lens every day.

Weekly lenses
If you regularly want to use contact lenses next to your glasses, weekly lenses are ideal for you. They are designed for lens wearers with a high level of hygiene and are a good compromise between daily and monthly lenses. The wearing time is up to two weeks.
Weekly lenses such as Acuvue Oasys , Menisoft S , Clear 58 or Safe Gel 7 Day are cleaned in the evening with a contact lens care product and disinfected overnight, so that the contact lens wearer the next morning perfectly clean contact lenses are ready for use again.
Monthly lenses
Do you prefer to use contact lenses than glasses to correct your poor eyesight? Then you are on the safe side with monthly lenses. The lenses can be worn for up to 30 days and should then be replaced with a new contact lens. Until then, the monthly lenses will also be cleaned every evening with a contact lens care product and stored in a special contact lens case. Let us advise you on suitable care products. Annual lenses
These high-quality manufactured contact lenses are optimized for long-term use and can be worn for up to a year. Thorough cleaning in the evening is particularly important here in order not to shorten the life of these lenses. Suitable care products are of course also available from Goodlens.de, e.g. the Aqua Rubin - Peroxide System.
Annual lenses are available with small but also with very high diopter values (in the plus and minus range). A distinction is made between hard (dimensionally stable) and soft (dimensionally flexible) annual lenses. Hard annual lenses require less liquid than soft lenses, as the lens floats on the tear film of the eye and is undermined by the tear fluid.

Spherical contact lenses
The most commonly used contact lenses are the spherical ones. Spherical contact lenses correct myopia (diopter values in the minus range) or farsightedness (diopter values in the plus range).
Toric contact lenses for the compensation of a corneal curvature
Anyone who suffers from curvature of the cornea or astigmatism, the cornea is not cylindrical, but elliptical in shape. This means that the refraction of light is no longer accurate and the person concerned sees objects in a distorted manner. For this limitation there are toric contact lenses, which through their shape create the correct viewing experience.
Toric contact lenses have to fit correctly, which is why an eye adjustment by an optician or ophthalmologist is imperative to prevent eye damage.

Multifocal contact lenses
Multifocal lenses are visual aids that combine several visual powers in one lens. One visual acuity for close reading and another for vision at normal distance. Multifocal or varifocal contact lenses correct age-related visual impairment - also known as presbyopia and are therefore very similar to varifocals.
Bifocal contact lenses instead have a sharp edge between the nearsighted and farsighted areas of the lens. Here, too, an eye adjustment by an optician or ophthalmologist is mandatory.

Silicone hydrogel contact lenses
Silicone hydrogel contact lenses are named for the material they are made of. They improve comfort and can be worn for a long time. They make a decisive contribution to maintaining the health of the eyes and ensure perfect wetting. The main advantage of these lenses is that they reduce the compromise on oxygen permeability in favor of wettability.
Silicone hydrogel lenses have an approx. 5x higher oxygen permeability than conventional hydrogel lenses. The oxygen permeability is described with the Dk value of the material used. The Dk value of silicone hydrogels is 100 upwards, while the Dk value of hydrogel lenses is lower.

Contact lenses for dry eyes
A dry eye can be caused by external influences such as air conditioning or heating air & nbsp; be evoked. For example, if you work intensively on the screen and forget to blink your eyes, dry eyes are not uncommon. We recommend using the terms day and night lenses and & nbsp; Watch out for silicone hydrogel. These are modern replacement lenses with a particularly low water content.
